Lovely Runner Episode 15 Recap:
Episode 15 of Lovely Runner begins with Sun-jae and Im Sol stuck on a Ferris wheel. Im Sol starts feeling sleepy, and Sun-jae realizes she has a fever. When they finally get off the ride, Sun-jae carries her to his house, where he gives her medicine and watches her sleep. He notices her crying and softly calling his name.
In-hyuk and his bandmates visit Sun-jae's house and tease him about having a girl over, but Sun-jae's manager quickly kicks them out.
Meanwhile, Tae-sung and his detective partner are working on a case. They discover from traffic cameras that Sun-jae's dashcam might have caught Young-soo's license plate. Young-soo, still a cab driver, is keeping an eye on Im Sol.
The next morning, Im Sol wakes up in Sun-jae's house and is surprised. She tries to leave quickly, but Sun-jae convinces her to stay for breakfast. During breakfast, he tries to persuade her not to quit her job. He offers to drive her home, but they run into Tae-sung at the reception.
Tae-sung is there to check if the guards have seen Young-soo. He is surprised to see Im Sol with Sun-jae, but she explains she was there to discuss a movie project. Despite wanting to quit, Im Sol has to go back to work now that she's told people she's working with Sun-jae.
After Im Sol leaves with Tae-sung, Sun-jae feels jealous. He finds that Im Sol forgot her medicine and debates whether to take it to her. His manager offers to deliver it, but Sun-jae decides to do it himself. He finds Im Sol at a park with her nephew, watches from a distance, and hides when she looks his way. His phone rings, revealing his hiding spot.
Im Sol catches him hiding and Sun-jae initially denies he was there to see her but eventually gives her the medicine. He tries to help with her nephew, who ends up vomiting on his shirt. Im Sol takes Sun-jae to her house to shower since no one is home.
Meanwhile, Im Geum and Hyun-joo are out celebrating a lottery win, and Grandma Bok-soon and Hyun-joo’s firstborn are at the bathhouse. There, they meet Gyeon-deok, and Bok-soon suggests setting Sun-jae up with Im Sol, which Gyeon-deok opposes, unaware that Sun-jae is currently shirtless in Im Sol’s house.
Back at Im Sol’s house, she and Sun-jae nearly get caught in a compromising situation. A shirtless Sun-jae insists that Im Sol held his hand the previous night, which she denies. Im Sol hides Sun-jae in her room until her family goes to sleep. While waiting, Sun-jae finds a vintage watch that Im Sol had put in a time capsule. It breaks when they try to grab it, and Sun-jae takes it to fix. He flirts with her before leaving and later recalls kissing her by the door. Confused, he googles the meaning of vivid images of kissing someone, and In-hyuk teases him, saying he has a crush. In-hyuk also informs Sun-jae that Tae-sung wants to meet him.
At the meeting, Tae-sung asks for Sun-jae’s dashcam footage for the investigation. Sun-jae agrees but gets annoyed when Tae-sung calls Im Sol "My Sol." In-hyuk finds himself caught between the jealous men.
Im Sol decides to return to work and apologizes to her boss, who is happy to have her back. She meets with Sun-jae, who forgives her and moves forward with the project. They discuss the movie's sad ending, and Im Sol insists it’s necessary. After the meeting, Sun-jae confesses his feelings, but Im Sol tells him she's in love with someone else and asks him to keep his distance. Hurt, Sun-jae agrees. Tae-sung picks her up, and during the ride, he confesses his feelings. Im Sol asks him to remain just friends as she's still thinking about a mysterious man from her past.
At home, Im Sol's grandma talks to her about memories and time, suggesting that past memories never truly disappear. Im Sol thinks about Sun-jae and Tae-sung's confessions.
The next day, Sun-jae learns Im Sol quit her job. He starts experiencing intense flashbacks and headaches. At the same time, Tae-sung and his partner track down Young-soo, leading to a car chase. Sun-jae, disoriented by the memory flashes, steps into traffic and is nearly hit by Young-soo’s car. Tae-sung prevents the accident, and Sun-jae collapses as memories of his life with Im Sol flood back. Im Sol, sensing Sun-jae calling out to her, ignores the feeling and walks home.
The episode ends with Sun-jae lying on the ground as it snows, while Tae-sung, his partner, and Young-soo's fate remains uncertain.
Lovely Runner Episode 15 Review & Reflection:
Watching Episode 15 of Lovely Runner was a real emotional rollercoaster. I felt a mix of worry and sympathy for the characters, especially Sun-jae and Im Sol.
When Sun-jae realized Im Sol was sick and stayed with her, it showed how much he cares for her. I felt really touched when he took care of her and watched her sleep, even though it was sad to see her crying and calling his name.
The teasing from In-hyuk and his bandmates brought some humor to the episode, but I couldn’t help feeling a bit frustrated with Tae-sung. His constant reference to Im Sol as "My Sol" seemed to push Sun-jae’s buttons, which made me feel for Sun-jae’s jealousy and frustration.
The scene where Sun-jae hides in the park and gets caught by Im Sol was both funny and awkward. It was sweet to see how he tried to help with her nephew, even though it didn’t go as planned. I felt a mix of amusement and sympathy when he ended up with baby vomit on his shirt!
The emotional tension between Sun-jae and Im Sol was intense. Sun-jae’s confession of his feelings was heartfelt, but it was really sad to hear Im Sol tell him she loved someone else. I felt for Sun-jae, who was clearly hurt but respected her decision.
The episode’s final scenes were quite dramatic. I was worried for Sun-jae when he fainted and experienced overwhelming memories. It felt like everything was falling apart, and I hoped he’d be okay. Im Sol’s decision to ignore the feeling of Sun-jae calling out to her left me feeling conflicted, as I could sense the emotional strain on both sides.
Overall, this episode left me feeling emotionally drained but deeply invested in the characters' stories. The mix of romance, tension, and drama really pulled me in.
